WHAT IS A VINTAGE COMPUTER FESTIVAL?

The Vintage Computer Festival (VCF) was created as a celebration of the history of computing. Originally founded by Sellam Ismail in 1997, it continues annually at locations across the U.S. and internationally.

 

The festivals are endorsed by the Vintage Computer Federation (VCFed.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving computing history through education, outreach, conservation, and restoration.

 

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT VCF SOCAL 2024?

You’ll find retro wonderfulness in all corners of the 14,000 square feet of event space:

  • Vintage computer equipment exhibits featuring original machines, pristine restorations and incredible modifications

  • Vendors of new and original tech, and an impressive assortment of accessories for many vintage computer models

  • Entertaining and educational presentations from industry veterans, makers of retro tech accessories and enthusiast creators

  • Vintage tech consignment, auction, and ‘Free’ table are in the works

WHERE IS VCF SOCAL 2024?

VCF SoCal will be held at the Hotel Fera in Orange, California. The city of Orange is in the heart of Orange County, minutes from Disneyland, beaches and skiing - with easy access to John Wayne airport.

HOW MUCH IS PARKING?

Day of event parking is available onsite for $10 with validation. A coupon for validation can be obtained at the VCF SoCal registration desk. 

 

WHAT ARE THE SHOW HOURS?

The exhibit hall is open 9AM-6PM Saturday & Sunday. There may be events outside of those hours. An event schedule with more detailed information will be available.

 

WHERE CAN I FIND FOOD?

Hotel Fera has an excellent full service restaurant/bar - The Peel, and a cafe - KoffeeKITCHEN that offers quick-service snacks, beverages, & Starbucks coffee. The adjacent Outlets at Orange (FKA The Block) has 25 restaurants & cafes within a 10 minute walk.
